Square Cat by Elizabeth Schoonmaker

square-catFor the month of September at Story Time we have been focusing on the basics. Letters, numbers, colors, shapes and seasons.

This week we were all about shapes. We read Square Cat by Elizabeth Schoonmaker. It was such a simple craft but the kids really enjoyed it. This craft could also be modified to include more of the ways Eula was dressed up and cheered up by her friends in the book.

You will need:

Scissors

Glue

Color Paper

Cut out: Squares in 5″ X 5″, Triangles, Rectangles for the paws and smaller Rectangles for the tail.

Markers
